Presenter Information
Acceptance notices for abstracts submitted for oral, roundtable, and/or poster presentations were sent via e-mail on Saturday, July 21.
If you received an acceptance e-mail for more than one abstract submission, please review carefully to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts. If you have a conflict with presenting on the day and time you were scheduled in your acceptance e-mail, please notify Michelle Murray at .
Oral/Roundtable Presenter Information
Preferred Presentation Length
- Panelists are asked to prepare a 10–15 minute presentation. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentations.
Preferred Presentation Format
- Use a white or light colored background for slides
- Use a black Arial font, 14-point size or larger
- We encourage presenters to put no more than 3 to 4 bullets per slide
Presentation Submission Deadline
- The deadline for submission of your presentation is July 3, 2008
- Note: if you have not already submitted your presentation via e-mail, you may upload presentation slides here along with any additional audiovisual equipment needs (if any).
- Please use your e-mail address as your passcode to submit your presentation.
Audiovisual
- The following audiovisual equipment will be provided: laser pointer, screen, laptop, LCD projector, and lavaliere microphone.
The Middlebrook room in the conference hotel has been reserved as a speaker-ready room to assist you in preparation of your presentation.
In order to include your information in the conference program, it is important to register through the Summit Web site where you can also view the latest draft agenda and other conference information.
Poster Presenter Information
Two junior investigator poster competitions will take place from 4:00–5:00 PM on:
Monday, July 14, Basic and Clinical Research
Tuesday, July 15, CBPR Research
Posters will be displayed on 4’ x 6’ poster board and organized by research categories. Poster boards and push pins will be provided.
Posters will be judged on the basis of scientific content; clarity of the presentation of the material on the poster; innovation; thoroughness; and response to questions from judges. Presenters are expected to be present during the poster competition.
Poster Setup and Dismantle
Monday, July 14—Basic and Clinical Research
Setup: 7:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m.
Dismantle: 5:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 15—CBPR Research
Setup: 7:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m.
Dismantle: 5:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
