Participants who are not supported are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and for all expenses related to the meeting. If you are a supported participant, please see your logistics letter for detailed information.

Transportation to Bethesda North Marriott

Taxi
The hotel is approximately 45 minutes from Ronald Reagan National Airport and Washington Union Station and 45 to 60 minutes from Dulles International Airport. Travel time is dependent upon traffic. The cost for a taxi is approximately $50 to 60 from all locations.

Metro
The Bethesda North Marriott Hotel is accessible by Metro from Ronald Reagan National Airport and Washington Union Station via the White Flint Metro Station, which is on the Red Line. Please visit the Metro Web site at http://www.wmata.com/rail/maps/map.cfm to access a map of the metro rail system.

NSC INFORMATION

Transportation to the NSC

The meeting will take place at the Neuroscience Conference Center located on the lower level of the Neuroscience Center Building (NSC).

SHUTTLE INFORMATION: A shuttle is being provided to transport participants staying at the Bethesda North Marriott to the Neuroscience Center Building. Participants may also walk or take a taxicab to the NSC, which is located 0.5 miles from the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel. Participants planning to use the shuttle should meet in the hotel lobby at 7:30 a.m. to board the shuttle for departure at 7:45 a.m. Please be sure to bring one form of identification.

Walking The NSC is approximately 0.5 miles from the hotel and is about a 15-minute walk. Exit the hotel through the front lobby onto Marinelli Road, turn right and continue walking to the first street light (Executive Boulevard). Turn right onto Executive Blvd. Continue walking and cross over Old Georgetown Road. 6001 Executive Boulevard is the second building on the right side. The building is set back from the road.

Taxicabs will also be available in front of the hotel, should you prefer that method of transportation.

Driving Directions to the NSC

From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
Head north on the George Washington Parkway for approximately 12 miles. Exit onto I-495 (Capital Beltway), heading north to Maryland. From the Beltway (I-495), take (I-270) and head north toward Rockville. Stay to the right and bear off to the "Connector/Distributor" lanes. Exit at Montrose Road (east). Drive approximately 1.5 miles and turn right onto Executive Boulevard. Drive approximately ½ mile and make a “U” turn at the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Executive Boulevard. The NSC building is on your immediate right.

From Dulles International Airport
Head east on the Dulles Airport Access Road for approximately 13 miles. Exit onto I-495 (Capital Beltway), heading north to Bethesda/Baltimore. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 38 (I-270 north to Rockville-Frederick). Proceed approximately 3 miles to Montrose Road (east) Exit 4A. Drive 1.5 miles (3rd stop light). Turn right onto Executive Boulevard. Proceed for 1/2 mile. The NSC building is on your left.

From Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI)
Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway south toward Washington, DC. At I-495 (Capital Beltway), head west toward Silver Spring/Bethesda. From the Beltway (I-495), take Exit 34 which is Rt. 355 (Wisconsin Ave. /Rockville Pike) and head north toward Rockville. Drive approximately 2.4 miles and turn left onto Old Georgetown Road. At the second light, turn right onto Executive Boulevard. The NSC building is on your immediate right.

IMPORTANT: Security Information for NSC
Please note, visitors must show one (1) form of identification (a government-issued photo ID—driver’s license, passport, green card, etc.) to gain access to NSC. Please stop by the security desk located in the lobby after entering the building to obtain a visitors pass that should be worn at all times while visiting the NSC building.
