We extend a warm thank you to all of the exhibitors, donors, and members of the community for attending and participating in the July 14th Community Health Expo 2012 – Our Families, Our Research, Our Future, co-sponsored by the National Cancer Institute's Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities, the Georgetown Lombardi's Comprehensive Cancer Center, the GW Cancer Institute, the Howard University Cancer Center, and the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. Your enthusiastic embrace of the Expo's vision helped ensure the day's success.

The unique multicultural event brought together families, friends, and individuals, as well as researchers, healthcare providers and advocates from the National Capital Area) (MD, DC, VA) for a day of family-friendly, interactive and educational events to promote healthy lifestyles, preventive screenings, and cancer research.

Our aim was to provide the community with the latest advances in science research and important health information so they could walk away more informed and inspired to take an active role in practicing healthy behaviors to reduce their risk of cancer and other serious illnesses.

Thank you again for your participation in the 2012 Community Health Expo. We look forward to further opportunities to work together to inform, educate, and ultimately, reduce cancer health disparities.
