Security Information
Visitors must check in with the guard at the building entrance and receive an NIH visitor's badge. Visitors must show one (1) form of identification (a government-issued photo ID—driver’s license, passport, green card, etc.) to gain access to the building.

Transportation to the Meeting
A shuttle will be provided to transport you from the Hyatt Regency Bethesda Hotel to and from the Natcher Conference Center.

Driving Directions
From all points north of Washington, DC
Take 95 South to 495 West (Capitol Beltway) via exit 27 towards Silver Spring. Take exit 34 (Rt. 355-Wisconsin Avenue/Rockville Pike), and head South towards Washington/Bethesda. At the fifth traffic light, turn Right onto Center Drive. The Natcher building is at 45 Center Drive and is located across from the Library of Medicine.

Metro
NIH is accessible by Metro (take the Red line to the Medical Center Station). Upon exiting the escalator, proceed to the Visitor Gateway Center for visitor badging. The Natcher Conference Center is 2 blocks, approximately 200 yards, south of the visitor center. From the Medical Center Station, it's a short walk to the NIH campus shuttle stops, which will take you to buildings on campus and in Rockville.

Parking
Visitors are encouraged to park in the attendant-assisted lot across Center Drive from the National Library of Medicine, to the right of the Natcher Building. Parking there costs $2/hour, with a maximum fee of $12/day. Parking fees are in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Metered parking (coins are required) is available in front of the NLM Building and at the Natcher Plaza for $.50 per 15 minutes with a maximum of $6 for 3 hours. Change for parking is available from change machines in the Library and Natcher Building lobbies.
Handicapped visitor parking (free) is in the north side lot next to the NLM building near the handicapped ramp.
