Building and Integrating the Science of Accrual

The Symposium, co-sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), targeted building the scientific evidence base and disseminating successful methods to boost cancer trial accrual.

NCI and ASCO sought participation of key leaders/representatives from sites/organizations actively engaged in clinical trial recruitment and conducting research and interventions to enhance accrual.

This Symposium focused on empirical research testing interventions for overcoming barriers and promoted evidence development to enable effective clinical trial accrual.

The 1.5 day Symposium featured interactive breakout sessions where leaders in the field of clinical trial accrual reviewed current methods and made recommendations for future research.

Symposium abstracts and slides from the breakout session presentations and plenary presentations are available on the ASCO Presentation Website.
