Call for Scientific Abstracts
The NCI Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD) accepts the submission of poster abstracts from the CPACHE U54/P20 partnerships for the upcoming PACHE meeting to be held on July 23, 2018.
It is requested that all U54 and P20 programs present a poster. The poster should highlight either the scientific progress of the research project(s) or research educational/training/outreach activities of the Partnership (or a combination of the two, at your discretion).
The poster session will serve to:
- Present the scientific progress of the project(s)/ program
- Highlight the mutual benefit to the partner institutions
For each poster abstract submitted, please carefully read and follow the Abstract Submission and Poster Guidelines (below).
Scientific Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstracts must be submitted online using minimal text formatting (i.e., tables, etc.). Submissions should highlight the innovation, methodology, scientific rigor and outcomes that impact cancer or cancer health disparities.
Submitted abstracts should not exceed 250 words, use 1 inch margins (all around), Times New Roman 12 font, and must include:
- Title of abstract
- Author name(s), degree(s), affiliation(s)
- Primary presenter, affiliation, mailing address, telephone number and email address
- Target population and cancer site
- Introduction, hypothesis/objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and future recommendations (opportunities/challenges).
Poster Submission Guidelines
Each Poster should include the following:
- Name of each Principle Investigator of the Partnership (Cancer Center and ISUPS);
- Describe how each Institute contributes to the Partnership;
- Detail the Objectives (or goals, aims) of the research project;
- Show the Methodology of the research project through: innovative measures, scientific models, activities in cancer research, cancer training, cancer outreach, and/or cancer education;
- Outline the Results and /or Outcomes of the Research Project;
- Demonstrate sustainability (leverage of funding) and challenges for future PACHE research and training opportunities;
- Future Plans/Directions
Poster Presentation Guidelines
Posters will be displayed on 4' high x 6' wide poster board and will compete with posters in the appropriate research category. A poster board and push pins will be provided.
Poster setup and breakdown hours will be provided in the abstract confirmation letter.
